This brand isn’t just a business — it’s a testimony of where God has met me, carried me, and called me forward.
I grew up as a pastor’s kid, surrounded by church, Sunday school, and endless worship songs. I remember watching my parents and all the adults in my life as a child, wondering if I could ever truly reflect the faith I was surrounded by. Even with that foundation, faith isn’t always linear. There were seasons where I felt far from God — struggling with depression, anxiety, and feeling unmotivated and overwhelmed. My mental health affected my school, my daily life, and even my relationship with the Lord. I wrestled with doubt, frustration, and questions. I remember nights lying awake, asking if God was listening at all, feeling both small and lost.
But even in the darkest places, He was near.
He gently pulled me back, reminded me of who He is, and planted a longing in my heart to live fully for Him — not just believe in Him, but reflect Him in every part of my life.
From that place, Rooted in Ruth began. I wanted to help others feel seen, encouraged, and strengthened in faith the same way He strengthened me. I started by discovering tools that helped me stay organized, products that brought joy, and clothing that shared faith like a light. The first time I designed a shirt and organized a journal page — it wasn’t just about creating something beautiful, it was about creating something that could remind someone else, “You are not alone.” So I combined those things — faith, apparel, organization, and encouragement — and stepped out in trust.
Starting this brand has come with excitement, doubt, questions, and growth. But my prayer is simple: that God would use this business to reach hearts, spread His Word, and expand His Kingdom.
Today, I continue to walk in faith, learning, growing, and trusting Him daily. If God could use my story — struggles and all — He can use yours too. And I hope that through Rooted in Ruth, we can walk this journey together, finding encouragement, hope, and joy along the way.
